Biography

Nadia Guthmann, born in 1964 in Buenos Aires, lives in Bariloche (Río Negro, Argentina) since 1977. Doctor in Biology by the National University of the Comahue (1998), she had a self-taught artistic formation attending to diverse ateliers and courses. Among the distinctions received in Sculpture: First Prize, XIII Annual Art Contest of the Foundation Bolsa de Comercio de Bahía Blanca (1996), First Prize, XII Art Contest of Río Negro, Bariloche (2003), Mention of Honor, National Contest of Visual Arts, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires (2005), Mention, 50º Manuel Belgrano Contest, Sívori Museum, Buenos Aires (2005), Third Prize, National Contest of  Visual Arts, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires (2006), Second Prize, Provincial Contest of Visual Arts, Allen, Río Negro (2007) and recently the Grand Prize of the National Contest of Visual Arts, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires (2012). She obtained Scholarships by Antorchas Foundation, Program of Formation of Artists of the Interior (1999) and by Trabucco Foundation, for improvement in Buenos Aires (2005).
